Ambre Energy was founded in June 2005 by CEO and Managing Director, Edek Choros, a geologist and mining engineer who emigrated to Australia from Poland in the late 1980s.

Through strategic sales and a series of successful equity raisings, Ambre Energy has been able to develop its assets, corporate structure and staff resources in a way which has greatly enhanced the value of the company.

Ambre Energy continues to acquire port infrastructure and port capacity in the US while targeting the purchase of operating US coal mines in order to develop a thermal coal export business.
